Laproscopic insemination
Laproscopic insemination being done on Patriot Boer Goat Stud does

Bloodlines from Izak Vorster, Francois Maritz and Koenie Cotze have been used in the past to establish the stud. As part of our breeding improvement program we do from time to time buy in good, proven rams from breeders who strive for the same qualities we do. However, more recently, our own rams are playing an ever greater role in achieving our long-term objectives.

In 2008, 2010 and again in 2011 we made extensive use of laproscopic Artificial Insemination (AI) with semen from the 2007 World Champion Magnum, 8 times Grand Champion Noster and champion buck Cheetah to further develop the quality and standard of the stud. As a preferred supplier, Ramsem – world renowned specialists in this arena – assist us in these procedures.

The first of these excellent young bucks were sold to satisfied breeders during 2009 and we now have these genetics established in our flocks and we continue to build on this excellent foundation.  In 2011 semen from top ram Cheetah (Oom Izak Vorster, Middelburg, Eastern Cape) was used to inseminate some of our top does. Their kids were born in May 2011 and we are very satisfied with the genetics exhibited by the progeny.  Since then we have continued to breed with these outstanding animals, using our own bucks from the Cheetah bloodline to further improve our animals.
